I have to memorize 1 Corinthians 13 for my PS221 Marriage and the Family class this semester. I thought it would help in that memorization to post the verses here with my personal interpretation.
The Scripture:
If I have the gift of prophesy and know all mysteries and all knowledge;and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
My Interpretation:
Prophesy may be considered one of the best spiritual gifts to have been given, it may be great to have all the knowledge and wisdom of Solomon, and I can have faith that “I can do everything through him who gives me strength”but if these things lead to pride and if they are not used in love for the good of my neighbors, I am not who I and others think I am.
